This place should be listed on googmaps so we can find it, it helps people
The only gas station for miles. I don't care about selection of food or clean bathrooms. We desperately needed GAS and they had some...no matter the price. Stop in ozone if you want reasonable prices but this place is a life saver if you are one of those people who say "We can make it" and then....you know the rest
Also, there's kittens everywhere... Who look malnourished. Almost felt bad just leaving.
We are stranded at the Chevron station across the bridge with 4 other motorists. Supposedly there is an Exxon in nearby McCamey (if it's open) is only open 7a-7p. Good luck.
NO GAS ON 1.4.2015-
Stopped to get gas... One of the pumps wasn't working, which had me initially freaked out cause we needed gas. Tried the other nozzle and it worked.
Nearest open gas station 7p- 7a is 77 miles east at Ozone (Chevron) or West in Fort Stockton...which we can't reach until AAA delivers some gas.
Everything was shut down, so if you're looking for a rest stop and get some snacks or take a crap, you're out of luck.
This was the halfway point to meet my daughter to return my grandson who had an medical emergency. The door sign said closing at 3 PM. We arrived at 2:40 PM and went straight to the rest room. My daughter needed gas so tried to open door to pay cash. She was told to look at the sign. When she argued that it was not 3PM, the cashier gave her grief and told her she was too busy. My daughter argued that she needed gas to get her son back to Austin. The cashier continued to argue but finally reluctantly and angrily took the cash. This place needs to stay open posted hours as it is in the middle of nowhere and people will inevitably arrive in desperate shape. However my daughter and I will know to fill up long before we arrive near this station or simply use the Chevron station across the freeway.
